Treasure Hunt
A total of 25 checkpoints are spread over the Lower Hillside, providing interesting tasks related to nature, carrying different scores. Participants accumulate points and win prizes by completing tasks.

Nature Bazaar
Adventure Tree Climbing
Date: December 7 and 8, 2024
Have you ever imagined what it would be like to look at the world from a different angle? Are you ready to step out of your comfort zone and experience life high up in a tree? Come join us on a tree-climbing adventure where you will learn the nature of tree work, as well as important safety guidelines and the proper way to use ropes and other equipment. You will be in the safe hands of our certified tree climbers whilst immersing yourself in the wonderful world of nature. If you are lucky, you might even bump into some of our coolest native wildlife in the canopy.

Lazer Engraved Wood Ornaments

Making use the fallen logs of the Farm, participants can tailor made laser engraved wood ornaments to decorate their home for Chirstmas. Put your friend's name on it, and turn it into the best environmental friendly gift!

Discovery Tables
Date: December 7 and 8, 2024
The Discovery Tables provide an insight into a range of animal artifacts. The tables include items that were confiscated by the Authorities, animal specimens, and simple games. Also there is an opportunity to make enrichment toys as Christmas gifts for our resident animals.

Animal Encounters
Date: December 7 and 8, 2024
Since 1994, Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden's Wild Animal Rescue Centre has received over 65,000 wild animals. While many have been rehabilitated and released back to the wild, some remain at KFBG as permanent residents, and education ambassadors. The Animal Encounter activity provides an opportunity for visitors to get up close with a friendly ball python, and find out more about this attractive snake and why it was rescued by KFBG. Participants will also learn more about nature conservation and the impact of the illegal wildlife trade, helping attendees to make more informed decisions that will benefit nature.

Apiary Tour

“Buzz Buzz Buzz…”Let’s look closely at the little honeybees and learn about their behaviours, how they produce honey and their importance in maintaining a healthy ecosystem. Protecting honeybees is also one way to protect the nature.

Postcard Workshop
Date: December 7 and 8, 2024
Taking inspiration from nature, participants can discover the simple joys and hidden beauty around us, turning the patterns and shapes of plants, insects and animals into elements of creation. Using different tools and colours, the budding artists make their own stamps to create unique, nature-themed postcards that can be used to convey heartfelt wishes to oneself, family and friends.
