Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden
Kadoorie Farm and Botanical Garden was established in 1956. It provided agricultural assistance to poor farmers and then gradually transformed into a themed botanical garden. In addition to carrying out natural ecological conservation and research, KFBG is also involved in care of the environment, rehabilitation of local wildlife, sustainable living and holistic education.
Fundraising is a key element in achieving these goals, and for the third year we are staging Nature Hikeathon and Treasure Hunt @KFBG; it is intended that it will now become our signature annual fundraising event. This two-day event comprises two activities: the Hikeathon on 2 December 2023 (Saturday) and Treasure Hunt on 3 December 2023 (Sunday). Both will take place in the beautiful hills and surroundings of our KFBG site, so while enjoying your time outdoors, we hope you can also learn about and understand better the harmonious relationship between KFBG and nature.
Hikeathon on 2 December 2023 (Saturday)
On 2 December 2023 (Saturday), our Hikeathon day, you can challenge yourself by joining our 8 km Classic Route, or enjoy a leisurely walk with your friends and family by joining our 4 km Leisure Route. You can participate as an individual, group or corporate team. You will pass through the most scenic parts of KFBG, including the iconic Kwun Yum Shan and Kadoorie Brothers’ Memorial Pavilion, the Four Pillars from the old Central Post Office, Signpost Lookout, and the Rainbow Pavilion. Along the way, participants can learn about Hong Kong’s fauna and flora, and enjoy stunning views of the Kam Tin valley and Tai Po countryside.
Treasure Hunt on 3 December 2023 (Sunday)
On 3 December 2023 (Sunday), KFBG will turn into a Treasure Hunt playground. You can participate as an individual or a group. There are 25 checkpoints, each one with its own activity for you to complete. You can choose to visit as many checkpoints as you wish. Each one will inspire and delight you with an intriguing activity.
Nature Bazaar on 2 and 3 December 2023 (Saturday-Sunday)
Open to the general public, our Nature Bazaar awaits you on both days. Besides shopping for natural produce and products for a green Christmas, you can also sign up for fun-filled activities to experience and connect with nature. Enjoy a day immersed in the natural environment and help raise funds for nature conservation.
Photo Competition
Get ready to snap tons of pictures at the Nature Hikeathon & Treasure Hunt @KFBG! Take part in our annual photo competition on Facebook and Instagram by sharing your special moments and stunning captures from the event day. The entries with the most "Likes" will receive spectacular prizes. This is the perfect opportunity to capture the natural beauty of the Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden.

Step 4: Top 5 most liked image posts will be the winners
Award: Top 5 most liked social media image posts in the photo competition will be rewarded in the “Favourite Photo Award”
